Default Chrome Overlay

Anyone know where I can get the boomerang shaped chrome overlay pictured here?
(thanks: lexusgrill.com)

Saw it on eBay several months ago, but haven't been able to find one since.

Thanks!

That boomerang shaped thingy....is a chrome film that is applied to those sections of the doors.

www.lextasy.com and www.lexusgrill.com used to have it, I don't see it on the site anymore, but perhaps you could e-mail the web site. Looks really good IMHO...was thinking about putting them on, but the GS goes back in a few days....the new whip is here

If your up to it you could always strip the paint from that area because under that black paint is chromed from the factory. Plus it will last alot longer then the chrome overlay. Use the same stripping goo thats used to strip the paint off of the grills.

I know thi sin Caps for a reason:

PLEASE DON'T GET THAT STICKER!!!

THIS IS A LEXUS NOT A CIVIC.

I've seen some LExus GS that are fine as hell and have that THING and it just doesn't look right.

Save your time and $$.

NO is the way to go.

Ted, you may be right. I like the look though. I probably wouldn't do it if it was a decal. I like ballin's idea, but wouldn't do it unless I know 100% that there is chrome under there. Anybody done this and has pics?

I KNOW IT IS ONLY A VINYL DECAL - no chrome underneath.

I think Bluelex has this, but not the overlay. I think he stripped the paint. It looks really good on his ride. If I had a Blue GS, I'd do it!!

Guys, what you see in the picture is a sticker with a chrome effect. It's not a chrome overlay or anything else. Just a sticker. Ted is exactly right...On top of that, up close it's really ugly and distorted. I've seen the car in person and the stickers need to go........

I know for sure that underneath the black paint is chrome from the manufacturer. open the rear door and put a small scratch in the door jam right next to the boomerang piece. I know because my 2 year old daughter helped me find that out.
IMO, I would go with carbon fiber boomerang.
