Did the alignment today. Got her all squared away. After that I took her for about a 10 mile test drive then pulled her back into the shop to inspect for leaks. It was great to finally get her out after I had done so much work on her. Now everything is dry with no sign of any leaks. ☺️ I put some little bits and covers on that I hadn't gotten around to yet and went to the detail shop and pressure washed the engine from top to bottom. I still had some time so I decided to do a headlight restore. We have a BG kit that we use at work so I used that. It turned out great. Here are some pics of before and after the headlight restore.

How the headlights looked before I started.

After finishing the headlight restore.

Now I've got to condition the leather and get her detailed. More updates to come.

Yeah that looks a lot better. Nothing makes a car look elderly more than hazed headlights.

After driving her to lunch for a couple of days it was apparent there was some vibration. Most of it was brake rotor vibration but there was some tire vibration too. So I ordered front and rear pads from work and an engine air filter. I cut all 4 rotors today and installed the new pads. I found a torn caliper slide pin boot on the front which caused the caliper to not slide. I was able to get it out and clean it up. I lubed it and put it back in. It was now moving freely. I ordered a new slide pin and dust boot and I'll put it in tomorrow. I also balanced the tires so it would ride better. She was riding good so I decided to drive her home for the first time tonight. She rode really good and the brakes feel a lot better now with no vibration. I'm pretty excited about it so I took some more pics.

Thanks. About half of the guys in the shop had never seen one of these first gen GS's. I've been driving it to and from work and on lunch. Everything is running smoothly. It has a slight shimmy when changing lanes when going over rough roads. I put it on the lift today and I think I'm going to order the bushings for the front and rear lower control arms as well. None of them are blown out like the caster bushings were, but the car is 22 years old. I'm sure I'll keep doing a few things here and there but overall it's a really solid car. It's been crazy hot here so window tint is also in the future.

I forgot to post a pic when I got the windows tinted so here it is:

We've put just over 2k miles on it so far and it's been great. I took it to North Carolina a while ago and got 22 mpg including going through the mountains. I thought that was pretty good. Next I'll probably put the 19" GS F-Sport wheels that came off of our 2015 on it. I'll see how that looks.

I gotta have the tinted windows. So many creeps around here. I bet those GS F-Sport wheels would look pretty crazy, lets see it!
