Default gs300 help

Hey guys I'm planning on buying some rims for my 94 gs which are the 7 series bmw 19inch rims...and I plan on buying some lowering springs also but my question is will 1.8 drop too low for my set up? If so how low would you recommend? I dropped a pic of the ones I'm looking at.

Default is the price....

I don't believe the bolt pattern is interchangeable between the two.

GS is 5X114.3 BMW is 5X120. So, no. They won't fit regardless of your drop.

Center bore might be different too.

Yes. There are bolt-on adapters that will convert from 5X114.3 to 5X120. They will change the offsets, so be mindful of that.

I think some of the pics online had the wheels filled and redrilled to 5x114.3.

Offset changes everything. Offset will determine what width and diameter wheel you can fit. In simplest terms, the lower the offset the more the wheel is going to poke outward toward fender (or past it), the higher the offset the more inward (at a certain point you can have inner rub issues as well). I would suggest getting adjustable coilovers, they feel much better plus you can dial in your setup to cater to whatever wheels you get to fit. For those BMW wheels you will need adapters which will essentially lower your overall offset by push the wheel out 25mm or 30mm (usual adapter spacer size).

Wheel offset really isn't rocket science, so take some time to figure it out and getting wheels to fit nice will be no problem! Check out this website too to compare stock to what size you want to go, or to figure out what size would fit best. It shows your current setup versus the new size/offset and how much more poke/clearance/etc you would have. www.willtheyfit.com

Most adapters are 25mm these wheels are pretty aggressive with adapters, I had custom 19mm adapters made to minimize the amount of pulling and rolling of the fenders. This is how far they stick out with 19mm adapters so with 25mm they are gonna stick out farther. The fenders were resting on the tires couldnt go any lower without rolling and pulling, Im on coilovers btw.
