Default Polyurethane Steering Rack Bushings

Hey guys its time for me to replace my steering rack and the bushings. So I am wondering where I can get polyurethane bushings. I see that Figs and Whiteline make bushings for the 2GS and SC so I was wondering if either of those will fit the 1GS?

I believe with the 1st gen gs300 the steering rack to frame mounting points are all metal w/ bolt and no rubber bushings. (Double check). 2 years ago I was planning to bolster the "steering feel" in the same fashion. But every steering rack image I found for the 1GS looked like it was not gonna happen.

To be honest, I am curious to see what else can be done in this area.

EDIT: I re-read your post. For some reason I thought you were referring to all bushings associated with the gs300/sc300 steering rack and column.

This PDF diagram may help you regarding the steering rack bushings. I don't believe there are any.

If improve steering is your Interest, rhe steering rack's damper shock (part# 45700) may be a start.

Another thing to look at for improved steering also is the steering shaft's "flex coupler" as seen in this CL link. It is the round black rubber piece that flexes/twists a bit when the steering wheel is turned.

Below is the gs300 1st gen PDF diagram of the steering column.

The flex coupler is found on part# 45260 in rthe diagram.

I have seen them replaced on other cars with a machined-metal copy, or a drilled out hockey puck. On rockauto.com the shaft is a straight metal shaft with no rubber coupler. So you can just buy it there.

Kinda long winded, but I hope this helps.

Another thing to check is your alignment settings.
