Default How hot does your GS300 run?

I've got a 94 GS 300, and I noticed that the temperature gauge never goes more than a third of the way up.

Is this normal?

The cars I've had in the past sit at half way up the temperature gauge, so this looks strange to me.

Should I check to see if the thermostat has been removed?

Mine sits half way up. Replacing the thermostat sounds like cheap easy maintenance for sure.

I also run just a shade above the halfway mark, I can barely see white under the needle.

Mine runs 2/3 of the way p. Im thinking rodding or replacing the radiator will make it run cooler. Maybe.

Almost exactly on mid. Not really over or under. Until my radiator blew, then it was way over xD

Mine reads very consistently just below halfway. It used to read halfway before I added a bottle of hyperlube when I did my last flush. No known problems

Yes, it's seems like your thermostat is stuck open and will cycle the coolant through the radiator even when cold.
