Exclamation Timing belt

having a problem putting back on the tensioner wont compress so i can get it back on and it seem as if the ppl around here have no idea what there talking about please i need a lil help pics would be awesome bit even aa lil walk though would help

The timing belt or the serpentine belt?

You have to compress it in a vice or a big C clamp then insert a keeper like a small Allen wrench into the little hole. Once installed tighten up everything and make sure the marks are all lined up then pull the keeper out. After that rotate the motor 2 complete rotations by hand double checking the timing marks before attempting to crank it up.

thank nix that lil keeper was a B i didnt have a allen that sall nso i used a drill bit but i got

Good job man! I haven't done a timing belt so I didn't know that information but Nix gots it on lock! Good job mang. I feel like some of us need to start re-writing stickies and guides!

Feel free to use all my info lol. Drill bits work too. It just needs to be hardened. When you buy new tensioners they give you the right tool so I just keep them for later.
