Default my GS300

I have a blue 1997 and I love it. It has needed a lot of work and I'm always wondering whether the ongoing maintenance costs justify keeping it.
I've done a lot of work on it, some by myself (with help of this forum) but I couldn't get the radio going. The radio amp area keeps flooding every time it rains so I need to bypass the amp at some point. I left her standing for nearly two years while I was working overseas and after a battery recharge she started up flawlessly. Still only 65k on the clock. As someone who has had BMWs and a Mercedes, if I do get another car it will definitely be a Lexus.

drain tubes in that rear area clog up and cause flooding. Pretty sure theres a rubber plug you can pull to drain it.

Welcome!

1995 Gs300 Midnight Indigo pearl, Gray interior, 69k miles All stock, Pioneer, even still has the working Lexus phone in the center console Currently going through all the maintenance. I’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find the exact iridium Denso plugs for the car? I’ve seen sk16r11 (in Lexus box) and Ik16 ? Any help would be much appreciated.

also is there any trusty website y’all use to get oem parts ? Thanks !

Beautiful color, would definitely love to have a car like that to swap all my parts over to.

The denso SK16R11's or the IK16's will both work.

Toyota lists part number 9008091184 for the NA supra which is the SK16R11. Lexus shows the PK16R11 as the stock GS300 plug.

Your only differences?
IRIDIUM POWER - IK16 (if your stock you dont need this, an aristo perhaps)
IRIDIUM LONG-LIFE - SK16R11 stock on 93-96 toyota supra 2jz-ge
DOUBLE PLATINUM PLUG - PK16R11 stock on 93-96 lexus gs300 2jz-ge

Thank you so much for the response and clarifying! I’ll go with the SK16R11. I love the color too and love the car. It’s like stepping in a time capsule. My dad already wants to trade his 4Runner for it haha

Default JZS147 owner

Hello, I finally decided to register to the forum after using for looking stuff up for my Aristo. I'm from Florida, got a 92 silver Aristo with a cd009 swap. Looking to hopefully fix a couple of issue with the fuel/boost cut that I'm having.

Welcome! Any pictures of your car? Manual swaps are always welcomed! R154 guy here, as far as a the fuel/boost cut, i'm assuming your stock aristo ecu with something upgraded; intercooler, intake, downpipe, exhaust, boost?

You need a boost cut controller which is very common with these 2jzgtes' with a little more flow/boost. https://www.suprastore.com/grbccsubocut.html That is the unit you're looking for; and has been long discontinued but you can find them on ebay and online. I went with an HKS FCD shown here https://www.hks-power.co.jp/en/produ...fcd/index.html and it has worked great for me also with single turbo and 2jzgte

It currently has a ecumaster det3 piggy back( which I'm not sure is tuned) an aftermarket IC and is straight piped after the DP. I wanna take it to a tuner and see if he can check the parameters on it if they put anything on it, from there, I'll see if I get the FCD. Thank you for the advice and I have no good pics of it yet but ill post up when I do.

You should definitely have it re-tuned if you're hitting fuel cut; its probably whats saving the motor.

Welcome Abhiram, you've stumbled across the right website but alas you are in the wrong section.

Here you go! Its way busier over there and you should see a ton of information including maintenance.

I got a 1992 Aristo 3.0V in "Dark Mauve Mica" (? 3K8, looks brown right now need a detail lol). I have the leather interior with the air purifier and interesting floor mats (not sure if USDM got them, they're like crescent design). Other than that I have the OEM 3 piece spoiler on it. Other than that its got a lot of other things that the Japanese owner put in. Radio/navigation is a Clarion double din, Alpine stereo stuff, some Defi gauges, HKS evc, and Greddy full auto timer. Engine is stock besides the boost controller and some aftermarket pulleys, intercooler, and other small things. Its just around 86,000kms right now. Suspension is Bilstein BTS, front brakes ls400 BBK, rear caliper is JZA80, wheels are Prodrive GC-07C. There's a bunch of other little things, but overall the car has been extremely comfy and confident. Mod sheet, mod papers, and manual/service record all in Japanese, luckily I can read it haha.

Right now I'm going to get an AFR installed in it because I have no clue how much boost I can comfortably run with the Blitz ecu. I might try and cd009 swap next year, but I'm not sure.

like what are these carpets?

Welcome!

Definitely get a AFR gauge before you up boost, but you should be fine at around 14lbs/1 bar.

Floor mats i've only seen from jzs147 aristos', Mandrake imported one with the same exact floor mats but with a lot more color in them. Super clean car though! Manual swaps make the car so much more fun to drive, but not the easiest thing to do.

eBay store for Lexus of Scottsdale is really good. Best prices for the most part for genuine Lexus parts.
