Default Idle Question

How would i get my 95 GS300 to idle at 1000rpm's. It keeps dropping below 1000rpm's and sounds like it wants to shut off but it doesnt? What do i do?

Proper idle speed is 750RPM when in gear. In park, P, about 1300RPM

Whoa! Tighten and or loosen up the wires behind the throttle body, no need to mess with timing

hmmm.... if your engine is doing that it may be due to several things.. ur throttle body may be super dirty that some vacuum lines are dirty ,or Ur Intake Auxulary Air Valve may give up pretty soon... it can also be a dirty EGR.

Adjusting things like distributor, or wires may fix it temporarily but it does not mean the car is in good conditions.
