If not how fast did you ever drove it ?

my top speed is 247 Km/h..(aprox 155 M/h); that's fast, and the car starts to float....

i drive fast and accelerate fast but top speed is not my category. i chicken out at like 115mph because it feels too floaty. plus i live in so cali barely anywhere to go top speed.

Wink Speed.

About a month ago raced a BMW 5 series on I-95.
We were going at it around 3 o'clock in the morning.
Both of us got pulled over by TWO police cars, one for
me and one for him. They clocked us at 137 mph. That
is the fastest I've gone "documented". LOL
It's a beautiful feeling, speed I mean.

Cops were really cool about this one.
They told me that I had two options:
they can either impound my car or take it
easy on me. So I chose the second one and
got a $700 and something ticket. I don't
know what happened to the bimmer, I took
off before they let him go. God loves me, I guess.
And I definately appreciate that.

Default Speed.

Todd,
That's weird, bro, cause I have not touched the governor.
I don't even know if I have one.
I'm sure I do since it's the US of A.

I'll see what I can come up with.
Regards.

I think they set the governor depending on your factory wheel/tire setup. They don't want you going too fast for your tires and killing yourself when one blows.

I don't know if Lexus does it that but it could explain why some people can hit their governor and some can't.

I haven't pushed my car yet but I just got new tires so maybe....

I mostly drive slow short trips but the Lex is most fun on the highway.

you should be able to go to the floor and reach at least aprox 6100/6300 revs... depending on road surface and windspeed and direction, even more.

I dont know if that is it cause i read this thread yesterday morning so i called up my cousin to come with me to see if my car has a Govenor. he sat in the passenger seat and i proceeded to floor it. well acceleration wasnt as thrilling as his civic si but i made it to a little over 151mph on that closed rd. it was under construction and i guess no one was working on it . it was beautifully paved with no bumps so my car didnt start bouncing or anything. my stock wheels were 16's but now im on staggered fitment 19's Btw which are for sale. you can see them in my cardomain page. i would say the rd was a over a mile in length if any one knows this area im Palm Beach County Fl. its in Boynton Beach between Woolbright and Boynton Blvd. another time i was on the hwy with 3 other pple in the car and my rear end was wallowing to every little bump between 80 and 110mph. Btw do you guys have an audio thread? i want to put my 2 12's im but i dont know how it will sound with the wall. im thinking about cutting a port in where the center seat folds down.

i've never hit a speed governor.. my car did 170mph on the dyno on the stock engine with nitrous, and just the other day on the gte engine and japanese ecu i did 178 on the dyno. on the street i've touched 160mph so far. speed is good...at the right time.

*edit.. i just remembered i do have a SaRD Run Up speed limiter cut. other wise the stock aristo ecu has a limiter.
