Is anyone using a fan clutch with the 2jzgte swap?
I have read every single thread and I have not got any answers. I need to know which combo to use, which radiator/shroud/fan blade?
I currently have a 2jzgte fan clutch with a 2jzgte oem radiator, a 2jzgte(96-98 supra part number 16711-46200) fan shroud and a 2jzgte fan flade.
Unfortunetly. The fan blade cut straigt threw the fan shroud and it shattered into pieces while doing a highway pull. I did trim the edges on the blade, but it still rubbed.
Is the answer a supra 93-95 turbo fan shroud(part number 16711-46160) or 93-98 Na fan shroud(part number 16711-46150)? I have read inconclusive answers on SF about the 96-98 supra fan shrouds being a slimmer profile.
I have read some people go with dual or single electric fans, but since Ive heard alot of complaints and Id like to avoid the wiring, I dont want to go that route.
Please, anyone who is currently or can verify the fan clutch setup, please leave a comment or pm me.

what do you mean the fan blade makes the difference? which one did you use?
Are you talking about the griffin radiator for the mkiv supra? If so, I have an oem mkiv rad and oem gs300 shroud and the bolt holes dont match up. In addition, I dont see it working properly considering there is a big gap in between the rad and shroud.

Another option you could probably do as a member on here has done is use the first gen IS300 fans, wcombined resivor. He's running a Na-T setup w no over heating issues. So no clutch fan, and no GS stock resovor. Looks really clean, some wiring needed to make fans work, and fabricated bracket to hold in place. And it comes on automatically. Just my 2cents.

I am almost finish with my swap and I used the stock gs radiator, shroud and fan with clutch.. I had to shim the mounting holes with washers and nuts to clear water neck, i purchased longer studs for it...seems fine haven't tested yet but pretty sure it will work.. anyone done this setup?
