Lastly, Anyone know of a good source for used parts? I really appreciate the help. Thanks." OK...here goes...I'll put out some brands that I know have applications for the 1st Gen and put them in the order that I would prefer them. It will be up to you to find them. Intake - Rod Millen, Injen, Weapon R Exhaust - Veilside, Tanabe, Greddy, Blitz, Rod Millen ECU - Jim Wolf Technologies, Rod Millen (or do a piggy-back ie. AEM) Used Parts - ebay, Auto Net Performance Full Suspension - HKS, Tein Springs - Eibach, Intrax Strut Bar - Auto Net Performance Turbo Kits - FMax, Srt? Here are a few sources: www.autonetperformance.com www.ebay.com www.rodmillenstore.com www.veilside.com I'm sure everyone (Blue Wax, Manaray, JMai) will add to this short list as it is not very comprehensive. I don't know a whole lot about these cars...;) Todd |
Yeah you’re right, it's tough to find info on performance mods. I thank you for your input, definitely good stuff. Cant wait to get my shopping started. I just want to go with a simple intake / exhaust mod with an ecu upgrade. Not only will it give the beast a few more pony's that I believe it needs, but I'm hopping that the optimization will add a few mpg as well.;)

That would be hoping. Never could get that spelling thing down.

Rod Millen would be a one stop shop for you then...
Rod Millen Intake, Exhaust and Computer $2,142 for all of it. However, if I did it again, I would go with the Veilside Mufflers that Manaray put up. Great stuff! Note that both the Millen and the Veilside pieces are muffler only as opposed to the Tanabe Hyper Medallion (what I have), Greddy MX or the Blitz NUR Spec cat back systems. The thought process behind this is that Toyota's exhaust piping is completely adequate. The shortcoming is in the muffler itself. Todd |
Thanks Todd, I'll put your recommendations to good use.

Performance.
Damn, I love this board.
Todd, I never knew that. So we've got good pipes, but the muffler does not let the engine breath. Hey, that only makes it cheaper, right? Thanks, man. |
