Default High amp alternator???

Hey guy just have a few questions on the gs electrical system???

I have a stock alternator (dont know the amps on that?) and I'm running 2 Hid kits, 1 amp for my 12" kickers and my 6 speakers, and 2 15" tvs and 3 8" tvs. what upgrades can i do to run right????

At iddle with my A/C on and stereo and lights my battery light turns on the dash and my stereo shuts off and lights go dimm. i have an optima red top but i was thinking of adding another optima battery where the stock cd changer and amp were!! and run a 200amp alternator. I wanna hear what you guys are doing to keep up with your upgrades????

You currently have an 80 amp alt. At full operating temp that means at idle you are putting out maybe 40 amps. Take out the power to run the car and you have little left. A large engineering mistake by Toyota IMO. I replaced the 80 amp with a 165. The problem with high amp alternator is it takes more rpms to get it to charge. So at idle there was 0 charge. My solution was to upgrade to a deep cycle gel battery like the Optima YELLOW top and I went with an underdrive pulley on the alt to spin it faster so it charged at lower rpms. I had no problems after that.

I ordered mine from some place in Cali off ebay and asked them to put a 1 step smaller pulley on for me before shipping.

There are some 100 amp stock alternators out there that you can upgrade to.
