I pulled the carpet/panel on the driver's side and I tapped the first wire as it was a constant 12v and used a $5 switch from Pep Boys

Ok here's what I mean. See how they are visible from the side. Does that look normal?

Yeah the rail on the frame. It's uneven under there too. I might use a spray tint on them to tone it down a little if I can't relocate them.

Why don't u have another metal bar welded right next to the frame? You'll probably be better off =]

Something to consider before doing this mod is that if your can is lowered you can easily damage the puddle lights when going over a speed bump or down a ramp...

Very nice ride. Maybe they can be partially wrapped in black vinyl or even heat shrink tubbing. That way they don't catch the eye so much. Its the side we see right, not the tip that actually lights up?

If anything I will use a spray tint and if it still doesn't look good I'll take them off. I am not going to weld the bar on there. It's not worth the effort.
The black vinyl or tape would probably affect the light properties but yeah it's the sides of the housings that you see. The leads are inside and are focused downwards.

i would put green on my car, since im going to probably repaint the car white/silver/ or black. i think green tint + green puddle lamps would look ok.
