is there a "how to" to make our fog lights turn on without the rest of our lights? I've seen pictures and searched but cant seem to find a how to.

they turn on with your running lights.. what more do you want (you dont have to turn on the low beam)

i did mine today, it took me all of 10 min. to do.
What i did was tap into the power wire from the parking light right at the connector and ran a wire about 8" long strait down to the fog light and taped into the power wire on the fog light connector and thats it your done.

the only down fall is that the switch for the fogs is no longer functional. so theirs no turning off the fogs when the parking lights are on.

EDIT:
your also going to upgrade the parking lights fuse from a 10amp to a 15amp cause the fogs run off a 15 amp circuit

hmm..im gonna look at the relays in mine, maybe the jdm one has a simple bridge between the relays and thats how its done..

you can do this using the original foglight relay and switch!!
The fog light relay waits for a ground signal(i think) to come from the park light circuit before it will allow you to turn them on, all you have to do is give this wire a ground signal when the car is on. Without the lights and you can turn your fogs on & off any time using the factory switch and best it requires connecting 1 wire!

It is illegal anyway fog lights are only to be used in "fog" and how many times you have fog?

in cali it is illegal to have them on by themselves i think. i always have mine on with my headlights. even cops have them on

Which cop cars have fog lights??? I know Ford Crown Vic's don't come with them from factory????????

Those are really not their fleet cars like Crown Vic's and old Chevy Caprice. I mean how many cops drive Chevy Camaros maybe few state troopers not local cops.

but in California fog lights are not illegal. these are the only restrictions:24403. (a) A motor vehicle may be equipped with not more than two foglamps that may be used with, but may not be used in substitution of, headlamps.

(b) On a motor vehicle other than a motorcycle, the foglamps authorized under this section shall be mounted on the front at a height of not less than 12 inches nor more than 30 inches and aimed so that when the vehicle is not loaded none of the high-intensity portion of the light to the left of the center of the vehicle projects higher than a level of four inches below the level of the center of the lamp from which it comes, for a distance of 25 feet in front of the vehicle.
