Default Is it REALLY an advantage....?

Is there really an advantage to installing either a cold air intake or a short ram on my GS? After reading many of the posts that I found in the search, fear of water for the CAI or introduction of hot engine compartment air with the short ram set up, which apparently defeats the whole purpose, still has me somewhat undecided as to what to do. Is it really worth the trouble to do either mod? I am preparing to replace my O2 sensors very soon and if I was to do the intake mod, I guess that would be a good time to do it as well. I only have approx 95K on my car and plan to keep it a while longer...Thanks in advance for your opinions.

so the only thing to do is drop in a k&n filter, thats the safest most effective way, right?

Yes its great, I feel the power. I have the injen intake with a custom cold air intake pipe which I custom made by cutting up another intake.

Here's an old pic.

IMHO, it is not worth it if you don't redline your car everyday, assuming the CAI make some HP. Holding in gear for another 500RPM wil yeild more power
