Default compression test results...

went to my mechanic today and got compression test. my car has 134000 miles, with no major problems. i was just curious as how my compression is holding up for each cylinder and here are
the results:

1st cylinder reading.......175

2nd cylinder reading......175

3rd cylinder reading........175

4th cylinder reading.........168

5th cylinder reading........175

6th cylinder reading....... 175

as you can see, nbr 4 cylinder is a little low and most likely due to some sticky valve but nothing major. sticky valve means that the valve might not be sitting right or as perfect as before or there cud be also some leakage on the seals. i wish i had taken a picture while the car was being tested and show you guys each reading from the meter that was being used. all in all, my car runs excellent and i can
go along with my na-t project h'ever, i will consider to re-prep my head and install metal head gasket for turbocharging.

for those of you guys who has reached at least the same mileage as mine, have a compression test
just to see how the internal parts are holding up before any mechanical problems you might encounter in the future which of course will costs you a lot of money.

now, let me gather my parts and start my project...............ppssssssssssssssssssssstttttt

What are the cylinder pressures supposed to be in a new car, and what are the pressures supposed to be in an engine with roughly the same amount of miles as yours?

ERIC: im not sure what the pressure supposed to be on our cars, i shud hv checked, huh?
but i guess as long as there are no signs of leakage in yr valves, you're ok. just keep up
the 3000 miles oil change in a regular basis and your engine will last fr a very long time.
