The tilt not working is pretty common. It's usually not that the motor dies, but that the gearing has become disengaged. Also many other toyota steering wheels are interchangeable. I can't speak on that model, but I run a gs300 wheel.
If you haven't already, join the Midwest SC Crew Facebook group. I'm one of the admins. We have our first meet coming up in May.

Had our season closer meet last Friday. All the Lexus / Toyota / Scion groups tried to come together for a large group closer meet. We ran out of time to find our own venue so we ended working with GrimmSpeed to host us in combination with their final After Hours event, with Toyotas being showcased at their event. We called it the GrimmSpeed Toyota Takeover of 2018!
It was awesome. We crammed i think 10 T/S/L's in their facility as 'showcase' cars. A nice mix of a few different models. My green SC was one on display, felt very honored. There were a ton more T/S/L's in the parking lot, along with a huge variety of all sorts of other cars that the GrimmSpeed after hours event attracted. What a cool meet with so much variety, raffle prizes (all of which was donated by either some of the group admins and also from various shops who donated at zero charge to us, so very much appreciated!!). Everyone was very respectful, positive atmosphere, no drama & good vibes, couldn't have asked for a better event! I know a few of you guys were there.
Pics can be found here, but i also am throwing a couple up. David is updating the album daily as he gets through editing more photos.

Old Car Guy, new to Lexus, and looking for help.
I've had my wife in a 2010 RX350 for a few years now, and it's been fantastic. I liked it so much, I just got myself a 2007 LS460L. I've been in old Mercedes for the last 20 years, but now Lexus is my new direction. Well connected and capable in Mercedes; Lexus, not so much.
I'm looking for a good independent Lexus service center (other than the dealerships) that I can trust with my car care. Preferably on the east side as we live in Hudson, WI.
Any leads would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Dead Thread?
Looks like this thread is dead, or at least no activity for a while! (4/26/19)
I just found the forum a couple weeks ago after purchasing a 2009 IS250. Thought I would check in, North of St. Paul in Roseville.

Quick questions for the MN guys...Just moved up here from TX and in need of my 10k service. Is there a preference between Maplewood or Wyzata amongst the forum?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know of a good shop here in MN that could help me with my 98 LS400? It has a tricky vibration that I have been chasing for a while and has stumped several shops. Hoping to find a sharp mechanic to diagnose and repair it because I'd like to get the car driving the way it should be. Please let me know. Thanks!

My IS250 shows that it was serviced at Wayzata before i bought it, i have only been to Maplewood once since I've owned it. service was good. When i pull up my report is shows my recent service was at Wayzata. Must be the same owner. Anyhoo... either will do just fine i believe.

It is pretty dead here. haha.
I've been to Maplewood Lexus a few times, all were good experiences. From time to time for simpler maintenances I head over to Inver Grove Toyota because I use to live near by and also it's less busy than Maplewood Toyota.
