i already have a similar machine but which one is faster?

mine:

dell 530 with an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 ghz & 3GB ram

the advertised machine:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ 2.3Ghz Dual Core CPU

anyone using vista as an entertainment based media machine?

Inter makes better core duo's. This is too good to pass up for a basic machine for my father.

FYI there are a lot of 531S machines on ebay. Some are sempron or celeron with 1gb of memory. If you end up buying another machine, make sure you know what you are buying first!!!

This Dell machine is 320g hd, 3g ddr and Vista eats alot of memory so I would stay away from any 1g DDR machines out there with Vista...this Dell is a great deal!

I am referring to machines on ebay. This seller has them for sale on ebay. This allows you to use the 30% live cash back.
