Default Klipsch RF-5 and RP-3 Reference Series Tower Speakers

Selling my Klipsch RF-5 and RP-3 Speakers. These have amazing sound, but I am upgrading to a larger setup soon due to my new media room. If you didn't know, Klipsch makes some of the most sensitive speakers in the market. This means that the speakers can output higher volume levels with less power compared to other speakers. You can operate your amplifier or receiver at lower power levels and still get great output on these speakers. Operating an amp at lower power levels will produce a much cleaner signal compared to running it near its limit. Basically, you get great, loud, and clear sound without having to invest a huge amount into an expensive dedicated amplifier. With the RP-3, you can get some pretty impressive output with a small amplifier. I had it hooked up to a 30Wx2(60W total) stereo amplifier and the speakers played loud and clear enough to impress many people. Most of them were shocked when they found out it was driven by a 30w per channel amp, operating at only around 60-70% power level!

All of these speakers are bi-wireable with the 4 posts on the back. The housings are black wood, and it comes with the speaker covers/grilles as well as the carpet spikes.

The RP-3 has a built in 10" powered subwoofer in each tower, and I believe the internal sub amp in each tower is around 150wRMS or so. It has enough bass to shake the windows and walls during action packed scenes in movies.

I ran all 4 of these speakers in a stereo configuration using the RP-3's built in subwoofer to provide the extra deep and powerful bass.

I'm selling the RP-3 pair for $350, and the RF-5 pair for $750 OR all 4 speakers for $1000

Due to the size and weight of these speakers, I don't really want to ship and prefer to deal locally here in the Dallas, TX DFW metroplex area. I mean, I'll ship it out if you want, but you will be covering the freight charges.

The RF-5 cost around $1500 for the pair when new, and the RP-3 was around $700 for the pair new.

I'm pretty firm on the price and I don't have any desire to sell lower. These are incredible speakers for the money compared to the junk you will find at most of the large electronics retailers. The Reference series of Klipsch are not carried in most retail stores, they are only found at high end stereo equipment stores. If I don't get my asking price, I'll just put it in another room in the house.

Here are some pictures of the units I'm selling.
