Well folks this Friday is the very last car meet at Tower Shops in Davie. I was wondering if any of our members we be in attendance. I and a few others will be there this Friday. Hope to see more of us out there for this last meet. The weather should be nice according to local news channels

Okay folks , just got off the phone with organizer and he confirmed aug 1 is the Last Towers period. They have another smaller spot they are finalizing. Towers owners are no longer tolerating the rice burners doing burnouts and such , they feel its a liability. Sad to see this end , been going on for 20 yrs

Damn.. This is honestly very sad. I've been going there since I was about 9 years old & I'm now 24. Lots of memories there with my father. I'll definitely have to make it out to the last one Aug 1st.

Im upset. I remember the last time I went a few months ago all of the Camaro guys were revving and doing burnouts and just being obnoxious. My dad too used to bring me here since I was 6 or 7 y/o every friday for years.

Ed, whats the deal? I'm hearing conflicting information of last friday being the last towers at that location and now hearing one more friday at the old location at tower shops...which is it?

And how was last week? I'm sure it was packed....

Yeah I'm a little confused as well. When I paid the usual guy, he ask me if I knew where they were going to be next Friday.. I replied yeah at the Home Depot parking lot off of Sterling and University. Dude said yep see ya there next Friday night ..

let me clear up the confusion .. the ORIGINAL organizer , sid , informed me that august 1 is the final friday for towers as we know it ..

John , the guy who mainly collects the money at the gates currently works for sid is branching out and is doing his own gig . nothing to do with the original towers shop clan ..

starting next friday in the homedepot plaza on stirling and university , this is John's attempt at keeping this friday thing going . its a smaller lot .. what i find odd is the 2 davie cops that i know well who work out at my gym have heard nothing about this new venue as they would be the ones on paid detail to keep things safe as they did at towers .. but i guess we'll see
