any independent Lexus/Toyota shops in South Florida?
 

Anyone know of any good independent Toyota or Lexus (or all-Japanese for that matter) repair shops anywhere between North Fort Lauderdale and South Beach (Miami Beach)? LexAuto in Miami and Eric's Wrench in Delray Beach are really far away and the Toyota and especially Lexus dealers here are all very expensive for service (not to mention the service isn't that great).

It's about 90 minutes for you across the alley but they have an excellent reputation in the area.

How about North Dade or South Broward county?

Motor mounts on my '03 LS430 and some oil leaks fixed on our LS400.

All the places mentioned are quite a drive from me in Miami Shores.

I think any good, honest shop can do what needs to be done, right?

I'm in Miami Lakes.and yeah any honest shop can take care of those things for you.

I've got a y-pipe from eBay I want installed on my '02 LS430. Can you tackle it? I'm hoping it cures an annoying rattle I've had for 18 months which nobody can seem to pinpoint. Closest to diagnosing it was a shop here in south beach but they claimed this y-pipe wouldn't fit. They didn't even remove the stock one to test fit it though so I'm not sure they were correct with their assessment. Here's the rattle I have:


This rattling is loudest on the highway when barely coasting. I can hear it vaguely at all speeds though. It went away a bit when I had my motor mounts replaced but soon returned.

Mind if I steal this thread? :x

I would recommend Lextech auto specialist. they moved over to the bird road area. 7336 sw 45th st. They fixed a misfire I had and did a couple of modifications to my lexus. Great service!
