Back rear window Shattered!!
After leaving work last night I stopped at a Friends house for awile and 15 minutes later I hear my alarm go off. I go outside and I see that my back window is shattered...WTF?? No one was there or nothing hit it...just a big hole in the back of the car :uh:
I need to get this fixed ASAP and I want to know how or where to go to get this fixed?? Any help would be appreciated b/c I never fixed a rear window and I dont know anything about this sort of stuff...... |
Yo I had this same problem about 2 years back. :thumbdn: I made the assumption my rear window defroster didnt turn off and overheated the glass plus the cold rain kaboom :uh:
|
WTF??? How long did it take you to go outside?
|

[QUOTE=One_jZ_SC3;5269247]Really? It was cold as hell last night but I did not have my defroster on..Who fixed it for you??
I wonder if the defroster is not ran off ignition though and stayed on? Just my speculation maybe someone can comment on that. But I got mine fixed at a place called "atlas auto glass" they are on 441 in between pembroke road and washington street. |
OEM glass for SC's
Just in case you havent replaced the window yet.
Try calling "El Chamo Auto Glass". 305-633-6248 I had to replace the passenger window on my 1999 SC 300. The dealer was charging $336.00 for the window alone. Charlies Auto Glass was charging $650.00 for the window and installation. I went to El Chamo Auto Glass - they charged me $210.00 installed. Yes it is a Toyota OEM passenger window :D They are in Miami off of 27th and 54th. It's not in the best area... but it's a job that can be done on the spot - so your car won't be there over night. |

Not long at all, maybe 20 mins..Longest wait was waiting for him to show up, took almost 3 hours!!! :eek2: |
glad you got it fixed, but what in the world happened.. odd
|
For others that come in this thread in the future the exact same thing happened to my friend Brookes IS250. No one put anything through it either.
