When I originally configured the vehicle, I asked the dealer to add the OEM crossbars, but when the car arrived, it did not have them... I recently bought a 2026 RX350 Luxury with the panoramic roof. When I originally configured the vehicle, I asked the dealer to add the OEM crossbars, but when the car arrived, it did not have them installed.

At first I thought the dealer simply forgot to add them, but after looking more closely at the pano roof design, I’m starting to think it may actually be a roof clearance issue.

The panoramic roof on this generation RX tilts upward before sliding back, and the OEM crossbars sit fairly low. My guess is that the glass may contact the crossbars during opening, which could explain why Lexus removes the OEM crossbar option on pano roof trims in the configurator.

I also noticed some aftermarket systems (especially overseas) specifically raise the crossbar height for panoramic roof compatibility.

At this point I’m considering just installing the OEM crossbars anyway and simply not opening the pano roof while the bars are installed. I’d only use them seasonally for canoe trips and remove them during the winter.

Has anyone here with a pano roof RX actually installed the OEM crossbars successfully?
Any long-term issues? But yesterday my wife and I were in the car. On three different occasions as we were going at slower speeds....maybe 35-45mph, the car generated a noise like a "high pitch howl". Yup. Sounded almost like an old Sci-Fi movie spaceship noise.

She wears hearing aids (Fortunately for me...my hearing is the only thing that still works as it should) and ask me "Did you hear that"? Yup. I have no idea what it was.....but I've never heard any vehicle emit such a strange sound.

Maybe it was a 1950's UFO? The factory tires would be a total of $500 but he said I could choose an offbrand for $350 for two. He did say that the quality and road noise could be increased with the cheaper tires. Thoughts? (also I really think it’s ridiculous to have to change the tires at that mileage!!). Update: I do rotate the tires every 5000 miles with the oil change. But I do think it’s slightly out of alignment, and do plan to get an alignment done when I get the tires changed.

So I’ve figured out just about everything with the vehicle, except for how to get the Boost Gauge to show on the Instrument Panel. Note, I can configure the screen to show 3 screens (radio info, Nav and another non-descript screen). But no Boost Gauge screen.
