We installed the Lexion LX10S 12.3-inch full-screen CarPlay and Android Auto monitor on a Lexus GS, along with AHD front and rear cameras.

The original factory rear camera is outdated and does not provide the best image quality for today�s high-resolution displays. It is similar to connecting a 20-year-old CVBS webcam to your modern MacBook. That is why we highly recommend upgrading the cameras together when installing a new CarPlay monitor.

The front camera can be activated in several ways:

Automatically when shifting from Reverse to Drive
Automatically when the front parking sensors detect an obstacle
Manually through a steering wheel button
Manually through the camera icon on the main menu

Anyone who has used a front camera before will know how inconvenient it feels to drive without one.
