This was my first time EVER seeing this color in person but have loved it since it came out. So glad the sun came out to show the color in all its glory.

The NOVEL exhaust manifold has gone through multiple generations, with each version refining the design, construction, fitment, and overall performance characteristics. Because these manifolds are sometimes discussed broadly as �NOVEL headers� or �NOVEL manifolds,� it can be difficult to tell exactly which generation is being referenced without looking at the details.

NOVEL Exhaust Manifold Install Video for RC F � Important Fitment Notes

Hey ClubLexus RC F owners,

We recently filmed a detailed NOVEL Exhaust Manifold installation video and wanted to share it here for anyone considering this upgrade on their RC F.

This is not a simple bolt-on install. The NOVEL manifold is a very involved upgrade because of the tight space around the engine bay, steering rack area, and individual runners.

A few important install notes:

- The manifold is installed one runner at a time
- Take your time and carefully inspect the clearance of each runner as it goes in
- A small inspection camera or borescope is very helpful because visibility is limited
- Each runner only installs one way, so if something does not line up correctly, do not force it
- On the driver�s side, the steering rack passes through the middle area of the manifold routing
- Clearance around the steering rack is extremely tight
- Make sure there is enough clearance so the steering rack does not rub against the manifold
- Some installers may use a washer to slightly increase clearance in that area, but fitment is still very tight
- The runners do not need to be tack welded into place, though some people may choose to do so
- Proper alignment, patience, and clearance checking are the most important parts of the install

For RC F owners, this video should give a better idea of what to expect before attempting the install or sending the car to a shop. It is a time-consuming job and not something that should be rushed.

With the end of the F cars. Lexus looks to be giving up on performance. If you were going to buy another performance car today or years from now what would you buy?

I personally really don't see much out there that interests me.

Greetings from Australia.
I purchased this Toyota/Lexus based scantool about 6 months ago and so far I am really happy with it. I own a JDM JZS161 Aristo and a 2008 Corolla. My son owns a classic rare 1992 AE101 Levin GTZ and a 2014 JDM RC-F.
We used the scantool a few months ago after the RC-F arrived and we got to work on a pretty comprehensive service as we had no history on the vehicle. It was fresh off the boat from Japan. Obviously, the first thing we checked for were codes and none appeared which was great. We then used it to read the Transmission fluid temp when we changed the trans fluid to get the correct level. Last week, I programmed a spare Corolla key using the tool and it was easy.
Today, was the big test of the tool on the RC-F and I was able to easily add a spare key fob I purchased from Yahoo Auctions secondhand. I also used an Xhorse Bee which connects to an android phone to firstly "virginize" the fob. It all worked flawlessly. We saved so much money!
I have been so happy with this unit as it seems to have all the features of Techstream but without the slow speeds and hassle of a laptop. You will still find the weird Toyota/Lexus menu headings and navigation found in Techstream, but it is easy enough to get your head around even if you often find yourself running into dead ends and brick walls. (Techstream users know what I mean.) The big difference is that it is quicker, so hitting the back button is not so frustrating because load times are really not too long.
Anyway, I think it's worth it for well under $200- especially with free Toyota updates.

V8 vs Turbo Inline Six

So I've been fortunate that my first car in 2000 was a 1993.5 Toyota Supra MKIV non turbo which I got when I was 16-17 years old. I've since upgraded it to a 2JZ-GTE and added all of the turbo bits over the years (Brakes) as I got older. If I had more money when I was 16 I would have gotten the Turbo Version but I had to settle for the GE (I was a broke @ 17 year) and then worked my way up. Anyways I used that car along with a 2010 Prius up until 2020. During that period I helped my mother acquire an Lexus IS 300 and in 2022 my wife got a Lexus NX 450 H+ while I got myself a 2020 Toyota Supra Launch Edition otherwise known as a BMW.

So to sum it up yea I've been in the Toyota family up until this BMW Supra and I just have a thing for turbo inline-six and Toyota really never has or will release one it seems. I've since decided that the BMW Toyota Supra is too small for me so I'm giving it to my younger brother while I acquire a new car either a RCF or a M2 CS. I'm not really tracking my cars I just do spirited driving around California I need enough room to fit an International Suitcase to pick up passangers from LAX from time to time and I've become acustomed to the space the MKIV Supra gives me and want exactly that no more no less.
20+ years later the Supra MKIV is no longer viable to daily as parts are hard to come by and I'm not a huge fan of a manual Daily in California but I like to keep it for those moments/days where I just want to bang some gears if you know what I mean..

Using the B58 in the BMW Supra has gotten me warmed up to the idea of going full on BMW hence why I am considering the S58 twin turbo in the M2 CS plus the usable space appears to be on par with a Supra MKIV. I would go with the RCF in a heartbeat if it was a turbo six instead of a V8 because I like turbochargers and working on my cars. But I guess how Dailyable is a V8 RCF? And what kind of modding is capable on this platform?
