On my SC430, KYB makes the OEM shocks.

Any idea who makes the OEM on the IS?

Anyone have a shock brand they like? I am looking more for comfort than sport

I think it’s almost time to replace the engine and transmission in my 2012 Lexus is350 AWD I really love this car and I don’t want to let it go just yet I think, since I’m only getting near to a year of ownership of the car. Well I’m wondering could I use an engine or transmission from a IS 300 AWD 2014-2017, IS 350 2014-2016(I know these don’t have the right transmission), RC 350 AWD, and RC 300 AWD. I know some of these cars come with the 2gr-fse detuned I’m sure that’s nothing a retune can’t fix since I will need one anyway and the AWD versions of those cars come with a Aisin A760H transmission already. Im asking this because where I am it seems to be if I got the engine or transmission from one of those cars the mileage would be lower and cost less and a lot easier to find. I know the engine and transmission from my generation will work aswell as the gs350 AWD but has been harder to find. If these wouldn’t work I just assume I would have to buy the engine from a local jdm engine distributor. Could someone let me know if this would work and if it wouldn’t could you guys explain please?
