huge unstoppable fire...

not sure if fire started in transport truck or the lucid, but once the lucid went up, putting it out was giant problem.

So the fire was started by an ICE and kept going by an EV. Match made in heaven... :D

LOL good, meanwhile Paris banned electric buses after three of them burned down in one month.

Yeah because they were all manufactured by Bollore. Thousands of other busses in Europe don't seem to have the same problem.

Number of Lucid's on the street just went down 10%.

EZZ Apr 29, 2022 07:03 PM

I'd look at it as a guaranteed sale with the tow company paying for it :D ICEs are so dangerous ;)

Och Apr 29, 2022 07:10 PM

I can't wait until one of these stupid meme cars burns down a private car collection of a famous person, lol.

Striker223 Apr 29, 2022 07:22 PM

Damn. Poor truck and cargo.....sad loss.

I would not want anything in my garage known to light up, I keep one car with cutoffs for the whole electrical system and fuel system since it sits for long periods. The others are Lexus cars that are not known to pull a KIA/EV

The burning car is but a distraction for the real news. Will these EV startups following Tesla ever not have fishy scandals going on in the background?

In my lifetime I've seen more than than my share of ICE cars in major accidents, or overheating burn all the way down where only the frame was left. In California there are nearly 1 million EV's, and I've yet to see one on fire..and I've seen several in major accidents. By the way if you think EV's are just meme cars, you definitely live in an alternate reality that doesn't exist in this dimension. You should ask Dr. Strange for help getting out

Than you basically don't want a car in your garage. Or a lawnmower, paint thinner, can of gasoline, lights and electrical outlets or anything plugged into them. Oh yeah, Kingsford Matchlight Charcoal...

LOL, you know nobody wants to know that. EV fire I say!

Sigh, looks like I have to post this again.

Government data show gasoline vehicles are up to 100x more prone to fires than EVs

Going to leave the giant text maybe some of you will get the message this time.

No doubt ICE vehicles are more prone to fires, that’s a no brainer and there are a lot more too just based on the number of ICE cars out there. I think some are pointing out that when there is a fire in an EV car it’s much much more difficult to put out.

I wonder if the tanker that was carrying all those cars that sank would have the same fate if there were no EVs on board? I would assume that it would have suffered the same fate but who knows if they could have put it out.
