There are a few "quirks" that make this car a hard NO for me. 1) The yoke. 2) predictive gears/gear shifting using the screen. Everything else like lack of stalks, buttons for horns etc I can get over

You're overthinking this. The predictive gear selection can be overrided anytime using the screen to just shift into R or D. Also, the screen can be overrided by using the capacitive touch buttons below (double failsafe). Also, the Yoke may have a round wheel equivalent soon for countries that don't allow the Yoke. If you can afford a $120k car, you can afford a grand or two to get that other steering wheel part.

I think I'd pick this over a Model S Plaid. Imagine trolling 911 Turbo S with a giant 6k lb SUV :D. It does the quarter mile in 9.75s...its pretty quick :).

I saw that, but as I mentioned previously in another post, this would replace our Sienna (the "Family car"), so my wife would be the primary driver, and not be happy. OK, so the predictive shifting is a cool feature, but it will not predict correctly in some situations. Using the screen to shift is just asinine to me. And those tiny almost invisible capacitive buttons are to put it lightly...a joke.

I guess if I drove it and felt that 1000 plus hp I would probably change my mind, but my wife doesn't really care about hp, instant torque and beating 911 Turbo S's, if you know what I mean :)

I hate the way the X looks, so it would still be S for me.

I was behind one of these the other day. Was surprised to see the plaid emblem on the back.

My slow GS had no problem keeping up with it...in the 20 mph school zone... :D

Yeah, I wouldn't even play that game with any Tesla, much less a Plaid. Although most Tesla drivers here drive like granny

I haven't had a P2 play with me yet. They seem unwilling...

i think most P*2 owners did their homework before buying, so they know exactly the pecking order:D

speaking of the X Plaid, as usual they are already everywhere in Irvine

Same here. I also don't like the falcon wing doors. My MIL has had a few issues with the doors on her X but she usually drives herself so it hasn't been too big of an issue

Nothing worse than a rich soccer mom who decides to blow away your Ferrari with a stab of her foot :D

i just saw one and passed it in my rx, looks like most other model x.

Old lady driving it at speed limit on a long staright road on the left lane
.
i dont know why just not get the long range? Almost seems like they want to buy the most expensive car/model

Slow Vette drivers are even worse. Just don't understand why.

'everywhere'? i don't think so. it's just that those with a plaid want to show it off as much as possible. :D
