I heard Elon was disappointed that he didn't get a pardon for making the Cybertruck so ugly.

I was visiting an old friend in a city called Walnut Creek today, and we were just walking around downtown, passed by the Tesla showroom, and the Cyber Truck on display was filled with people checking it out. So apparently, there's his pardon :)

Well, ugly or not (and I agree that it is a classic eyesore)....it seems to be selling, at least in my area.

I don’t think the Cybertruck is ugly. Just looks like nothing else on the road, you can not look. I like the looks. Is is useless as a truck? Yes it is. But it serves the purpose of what it was designed to do..and that is to turn heads :dance1:

What is the percentage of trucks on the road that are actually used for their "full truck capabilities"? I'm willing to bet it's less than 50%

Which is also not only full truck capability.

It can’t go 100 miles with 10k trailer.

Now on the other hand the Silverado EV is a different story. Its range is impressive.

Can't tow for more than 100 miles, cant haul dirty stuff in the bed, cant use any kind of adaptable hauling systems in the bed, to name just a couple. Just because people who have trucks don't use their trucks capability doesn't mean the Cybertruck is a real truck without that capability.

I see they are doing more frunk money, are these for all inventory units or flat any unit?

On top of that the single motor unit is coming soon at $67k. That should get some more buyers, but these will probably remain as low volume high gross sales model.

Tucker Carlson did a segment on the Cyber Truck, it did the same work as an F250, it actually did it better, just with more ugly. So it is a capable truck in my eyes. My problem with the Cyber Truck is, it's just too much of an attention getter, and it's ugly

Unless you want to do any of the things I mentioned in my post above. Its not a capable truck if you want a truck to do any of that work.

Because it can't do any of those things either.

The reality is for a lot of work EV trucks are just not well suited to it. At least the Rivian and the Lightning etc have more traditional beds (F150 especially) that can take load management systems, but if you buy a truck to do work, hauling and towing and that sort of thing an ICE truck is still the best choice.

As for the TC video. Do you truly believe that Tucker Carlson and a guy with a "For my birthday I want a new president" t shirt would make a video raving about an EV truck if it wasn't made by Elon Musk after he became a right wing darling? Come on. That right there is proof Elon is a genius lol

There is no way a CT can "do work" just as well as an American pickup, let alone an HD one.

It'll leave an F250 sitting during a race but that's about it.
