Yep. We had guests visiting from out of town and they all wanted to go to the mall after going out to dinner. I didn't want to go due to all the smash and grabs going on, but my wife dragged me along and I'm glad for it!

I love how Lucid names their models. So simple but great.

I'm not in too much of a rush, if they can deliver by summer next year that would be great. If I get it mid next year my son will be getting my IS350 a year early. You would think he would be excited, he's disappointed he's not getting the Lucid. Poor baby....

I think the way its being structured now, there is a price cap of $55k on sedans to get the $7,500 federal tax credit. You may not be able to get that tax credit by the time it comes out...

If I am not able to get the Tax credit, I'll probably buy the PoleStar, the one I want is just under $50K. If you can't get the tax credit, I'm wondering why they list it and subtract it from the price

That's the current plan in place but will be replaced by the new Build Back Better bill. I guess if they never pass the new bill, you may be able to take advantage of the credit.

I thought that bill was increasing the tax credit to $12,500. Is it also reducing the purchase to $55K? According to the article I found, it states:

"In other changes made last week in the House, Democrats increased the price cap for qualifying EVs. The new language allows for vans, trucks and SUVs with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of up to $80,000 to qualify for the $12,500 credit. Previously, the initial framework set a limit of $64,000 for vans, $69,000 for SUVs and $74,000 for pickup trucks"

That is SUVs. The price cap on the sedans was $55k the last time i looked. The only increase in the cap was from SUVs. $12.5k is for unionized factory from the US. I assume Lucid isn't a union factory (UAW) so it would only qualify for the $7500.

They are awesome cars! Even without the tax credit I would still probably get it as the range is pretty amazing. Also they have the fastest recharge time of any other EV. 400 miles in 30 minutes is phenomenal

No, not yet but I'm talking to one of their sales reps to arrange a test drive. It has been reviewed and gets excellent marks. It's already car of the year, not that that means anything, but it's a good start!

Wow Congrats - I’m glad there are consumers like you to take a chance on new brand.

I can’t imagine the lease program would be too appealing as there is no historical data for the residual value.

Thanks 😊. Actually there is no lease program right now according to the sales rep for exactly the reason you stated. I'm going to be taking a close look and keep an eye on reports from others who take delivery before me before I buy as I have some time. I'm under no obligation to buy, my reservation is refundable
