Actually I do, I have a 2003 ES300. I have also owned 7 other ones. Teslas are totally different, from an enthusiast perspective I would much rather have a Tesla, but Toyotas excel in areas over Teslas.
My marketing is 25 years of Toyota/Lexus ownership, and owning two Tesla's over the last two years. If you want to call that marketing, I'll send my resume straight to Tesla
Except for reliability, resale value and dealer service perhaps.
Both my Tesla's have given me the same reliability, minus the maintenance costs as any Toyota I've owned. I can care less about resale value, I keep my cars for life

So you are telling me Toyotas are loved by enthusiasts? I guess those that like the slow lane 🤣
Compared to current Toyota/Lexus these era cars feel like they were made by a different company.
On dealerships I visit my local Toyota one frequently when buying parts the vibe is a funeral people HATE sitting around waiting for service. Hours out of their day wasted.

Build quality is different than reliability. I would say Tesla's are INSANELY reliable.
And build quality has improved leaps and bounds on the volume models 3/Y. On S/X it seems more hit and miss and with ore issues on these older platforms.

I just reread this again. The only thing Toyota excels over Tesla is the gas models can drive further. For me, that goal post was knocked out a long, long time ago in a distant galaxy far far away...

Thats your own experience though and can't be assumed to be the case overall. My Mercedes vehicles and most of my Chrysler vehicles have been as reliable or more reliable than my Toyota/Lexus vehicles but that doesn't mean Mercedes and Chrysler are as reliable as Toyota and Lexus.

No, I said Teslas are better for enthusiasts. However, most Teslas I have seen are driven conservatively and pensively in the slow lane.

I've also had more recent Toyota/Lexus cars, the last one being a 2017. I know lots of people with Teslas and many of them their one dislike is the service process. You don't need to sit around a dealer, many Toyota dealers will give loaners etc.
One who has a Model S and came from BMW says she will go back to BMW next time and the only reason is service.

Slightly below average per JD Power, well below average per Consumer Reports, not "insanely reliable". No question on the whole Toyotas are more reliable. I know a lot of people with Teslas and many of them have had reliability issues.
