numbers vary a lot with hyundai/kia up, toyota flat, vw/audi getting crushed, etc.
u.s. sales have been good last quarter because buyers fearful of potential tariffs.
.
Huge difference between Toyota being flat and Tesla down 14%
assume you mean about musk's activities... i disagree almost entirely.
new CEO would do wonders for Tesla.. The brand is damaged thanks to Elon

laughable. as their AI, FSD, robotaxis, power banks, GIANT charging network everyone's going to rely on now in NA, and other ventures continue to develop, no one else could lead all that. but i agree he should stay out of politics, publicly at least.

Not his activities. His political involvement, which you agree with from your last post. Saying he should be removed as CEO is just a clownish statement to garner a reaction. Saying he should stay out of politics is just common sense, especially with today's being overcharged

Interested to see the data for California. The California New Car Dealers Association report for Q2 should be out mid-July, and that has very specific per-model data for sales in California that will shed a lot of light on things.

but tesla being global, there's a particular problem in europe AND IN CHINA. in europe, yeah there may be some anti-musk sentiment and the usual press cherry picking data in tiny markets like denmark, but the bigger issue is china, where the economy is collapsing. and now the country has way too much ev capacity from a load of brands, for too few and aging consumers. real estate is collapsing too.
Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, kia, Hyundai, Volvo, BMW all up for the first half. Not sure how you can look on the few manufacturers that are down and deduce most are in the same boat as Tesla. Toyota is also up 6.2% worldwide.
You're wrong. Tesla sales in China are up in the first half of 2025 compared to 2024. It's flat in USA, massive drop in Europe and even worse in Canada. Also down in the rest of the world.
384K down from 410K. Considering that nutjobs were firebombing dealerships and attacking people's vehicles just a few months ago, that's a LOT better than I expected. Looks like the market for a Tesla is a little broader than people thought.

I'm definitely seeing a lot of new Model Y and 3's on the road, it seems Tesla is recovering, and yes, the numbers are way better than I thought they would be, but that said, Elon needs to take some Adderall (or maybe not 🙂 ) and focus on what's important... Tesla
