Tesla Business & News Thread Pt. 2
Haha I get what you are describing. Honestly, I don't use it most of the time on regular roads, mostly for freeway driving. I did use it for non freeway driving on very confusing roads or I'm just tired. Overtime it will adapt and in areas where people live with aggressive drivers it should be fine. I don't think it will intentionally break traffic laws like fully stopping at stop signs or on turns at red lights, bad and over aggressive drivers will always be a problem that will be tough to overcome
FSD still does a way better job than AP. Night and day. Is it worth to pay for it on a regular basis? If I had a long work commute, than yes. Also worth it for trips, just cancel after your trip

But it was announced middle or end of May I believe that they were doing that and I scheduled it a month out from that point due to a lot of travel in June. its a limited time opportunity if I recall correctly. But give the showroom a call and ask if interested. If not 48 hours maybe an overnight rental.

Applegreen now runs all of the travel stops on the NJ Parkway and Turnpike so no surprise they want to put their own chargers in. The units are supposed to be decent, but we'll see. Looks like they also won a contract to renovate 18 travel stops in Massachusetts too
I think I may have mentioned this in another thread, but the few times I had FSD on trial, the only thing that made freeway FSD a bit worrisome is that it will not move towards exit lane until the nav announces you are 3/4 of a mile to your exit. So you could be in the fast lane, and have to cut over 4 lanes which can be difficult at times. I wish taking it out of Hurry mode would adjust this.
Will be interesting to see results for the US and for other parts of Europe, but sales bounced back strongly in June in some key European markets:

The UK is particularly key as it is now Europe's largest EV market by volume - roughly comparable to California.

Tesla reports 14% decline in vehicle deliveries, marking second straight year-over-year drop
- Tesla reported around 384,000 vehicle deliveries in the second quarter, a 14% decline from a year ago and second straight quarterly decline.
- Tesla shares were down 26% so far this year as of Tuesday’s close, the worst performance among tech’s megacaps.
- Tesla faces an onslaught of competition, especially from Chinese EV makers that sell newer and more affordable models, and political backlash against CEO Elon Musk.

assume you mean about musk's activities... i disagree almost entirely.
might want to look at other areas of the auto sales picture.

numbers vary a lot with hyundai/kia up, toyota flat, vw/audi getting crushed, etc.
u.s. sales have been good last quarter because buyers fearful of potential tariffs.
but tesla being global, there's a particular problem in europe AND IN CHINA. in europe, yeah there may be some anti-musk sentiment and the usual press cherry picking data in tiny markets like denmark, but the bigger issue is china, where the economy is collapsing. and now the country has way too much ev capacity from a load of brands, for too few and aging consumers. real estate is collapsing too.
