Tesla Business & News Thread Pt. 2
Can you remind me what year your current Plaid is? I am ratcheting up my browsing of Tesla S inventory and pre-owned S's. I'm intrigued by your comment about the updated headlights, roof, etc. Is that just a Plaid thing or was there a minor refresh recently (and if so, can you please tell me the year)? Thank you, hope you enjoy your new Plaid.
Also - on those wheels - I looked at the website. How do you know which categories of wheels are OK for a Tesla? They don't filter by car brand or anything so I am interested to see wheel options that I could consider as well. Thanks!

EDIT
Never mind, I see you already knew that

The only update, specific to the Plaid are different sport seats. More aggressive bolsters, contrasting color (bolster vs seat cushion and seat back )

So what does that tell you about people on the left of the political spectrum? I've heard a ton of condemnation when Coal Rollers dump pollution on EV drivers, I would expect the same condemnation regarding unhinged people on the other side who attack innocent people who have nothing to do with their fight
Since you went there... Are you claiming that drivers rolling coal should be punished the same as someone who burns my Tesla to the ground, because that's how it came across.
Of course not, the crime is different, and should be handled as such, but what if that coal roller knocks someone off the road causing a crash? Or the person crashes trying to avoid the toxic fumes? I've seen that happen as well

California law specifically prohibits operating a vehicle "in a manner resulting in the escape of excessive smoke, flame, gas, oil, or fuel residue"
Excessive means modifying emissions to release more exhaust than the manufacture intended, which is in the law. Not sure why you would be defending coal rolling, but I guess if it happened to you wouldn't really like it
People can think something is bad without thinking it should be "illegal" you know. I'm not somebody who believes everything people do that is rude should be made illegal. People can also express understanding as to why someone does something without condoning or apologizing for what they have done. I understand why people feel powerless and that the law is being imposed upon people of one ideology and not of people on another and its direct their anger and frustration in this way. I can also understand why Tesla has been made the focus of their anger because if the position their CEO has put himself in. It does not mean I condone it.
Rolling coal is rude and childish, do I think it should be illegal? Not really.

I'm not defending it at all, I'm just questioning if it's actually illegal.

All that matters is it's illegal in my state, if someone does it to me, I'm going to report them to the state and local police. Diesel fuel is toxic and noxious, and anyone who releases that noxious substance on someone because they don't like what they drive are a holes. And people who terrorize and vandalize Tesla drivers because of ideology are also a holes with no self esteem or a life
