I'm considering it, it's just that PPF is so expensive in the Bay Area. I got a quote for something like $3k just to do the front bumper, headlights and front fenders. Doesn't even cover the hood

I'm not switching to another brand of EV for now. When I do eventually replace my Model S, it will either be a Plaid or a Taycan GTS Sport Turismo (assuming the charging infrastructure is significantly improved).
I tried to look at a Taycan Sport Turismo locally to check them out since they have much more space than the regular Taycan but the dealers I talked to said they are hard to come by. There was one in NJ that was a black/black Turbo S Sport Turismo with a few thousand miles for a ton of money off that would be what I would want but I don't want to buy this time and I'm not sure if I can lease the car since it is used. The range on those also aren't great either with around 250 miles (I think) but that is probably similar to a Plaid's real world range.

I almost hope you get the black, I saw a black Plaid the other day and it was awesome looking. Harder to keep clean though

Trust me, I was torn, the black/black looked so good and it was clean and I would have to PPF the whole car even though I am leasing for ease of cleaning. With the white one I ordered I am going to just do the front end and the rockers.

How are CL folks responding to all this crap? Selling? Switching brands/choices?
Yes as Hameed said I am just getting another Plaid, same color combo as before, white with black interior, but at least it will have the updated headlights, tailights, roof, seats and screens. I even ordered new wheels for it already but going with 21" wheels this time instead of 20".

As far as switching brands...nope. I already have the cars I need right now, I don't foresee buying anything for the next 5 to 10 years, unless I have an accident and one of my cars gets totaled, stolen etc. Also economy looks like it's headed for the crapper, so there's that as well
Some ditching their Teslas because they're worried about vandalism. As crazy as it sounds, I saw a post online this guy walking in an airport parking lot and (secretly) keying a Tesla. You might have seen that video as well. The idiot didn't know the car could record his action. Now he is really famous! Believe or not... I'm still holding some shorts

Nice. I've had two same generation cars/SUVs three times now. But I've never had same combo before. I liked them too much but not enough to keep same combo. Going from 21" to 20"... does it have air?

I'm not going to let a few unhinged people shape my choices

For the 21's are you going to get shims to correct the camber? Everything I've read so far indicates it's worthwhile and you don't need to go overboard with N2Itive kit.

Apparently these do a decent job for next to nothing. These are from Jamie Sig. I'm sure you've seen all the Signature wheels he sells Shim kit

Ross Gerber, early Tesla investor and historically a TSLA bull, calls for Musk to step aside:

What are the chances this is remotely considered?

0.0000000000000001% is my guess.

Just a few more zeroes there, and you'd have had sufficient decimal places to have been able to calculate the circumference of the observable universe to within the width of a single hydrogen atom. And you were so close!

As an aside, Gerber has an answer for this too. Tesla's board, and in particular Robyn Denholm, should be independent and act in a fiduciary capacity but in reality are financially dependent upon Musk and act in his best interests rather than act in the best interests of the company.

What does removing Elon change?

Absolutely nothing.

Actually, I'm wrong about that. It would probably **** off the rest of the country that he probably needs as a possible future customer base. Tesla's board better keep him. The people that are mad won't change their mind if he is fired, and the people he needs in the future would punish them for doing so.

I don’t agree that the people “who are mad” (who are Tesla’s core customer base) wouldn’t change their mind. In fact I think seeing Tesla remove him would actually
make those people want to buy Teslas.

The demographic that is in Elon’s camp right now are not likely to be Tesla consumers.

Not a chance. Because Elon would still be the largest individual shareholder. And them buying a Telsa would make him richer. Not gonna happen. Move forward without them.

Everybody I know who has an issue with Tesla it’s all tied to Elon. I 100% believe at least all the people I know’s issues would go away.

A company can’t move forward without their core customer base.
