2023 Ioniq 5 Limited AWD
I have to agree with you on Siriusxm radio. It's the worst feature that is forced on auto buyers. Why do we all have to pay for the actual radio that is installed on the car? I wonder what kind of deal the auto makers have with Sirius. It's a total scam on buyers.
I watched a utube video where a driver folded his mirrors back when going 80mph on the interstate to save on "drag" as miniscule as it may be. I think it would be a safety factor if you don't know what is behind you.

So I want to ask your honest opinion @bitkahuna , how has your overall experience been driving the Ioniq? You've listed all the positives, but any regrets? Have you gotten over range anxiety yet? How does the Ioniq rate compared to your Santa Fe?

no regrets. i also have an ice car, so there's that if i screwed up somehow or needed to do a longer trip and couldn't be bothered to figure out the charging situation, but i doubt that will be an issue either. i still don't have my EA 'coupon' yet or my free charger coupon but it's supposed to come this week. when i get the ea coupon i'll drive somewhere to try it just for grins.
besides charging, the ioniq 5 definitely has a lot less cargo space in it than the santa fe, so i've had to be much more disciplined about what 'gear' i take with me (network testing and cables, video cables, power cables / strips, usb cables / adapters, tools, etc). i had my tech go through all the stuff i took out of the santa fe and put the bare minimum in 3 or 4 bags.
the car is definitely fun to drive and easy especially with i-pedal.
but regrets? no. the looks of the car have grown on me. i didn't dislike it before, but now it rates as 'cool looking' to me, and distrinctive. i absolutely love the long wheelbase and short overhangs.
and i have NO regrets about getting it over a tesla, except that leasing a tesla would have been less expensive.
since i'm driving the car 50mi. or less typically in a day, no issue with range anxiety ONCE i got a level 2 charger at the house. i only had initial anxiety because the included level 1 charger/cable is worthless.

I didn't think you would regret getting the Ioniq over a Tesla. Since you already had a Hyundai, you would be more familiar with an Ioniq, with a few adjustments. I have no regrets either except dealing with a crooked dealership. Remove dealerships from the equation, and I would easily without hesitation replace this Ioniq 5 with another one when the lease is up in 2 years
