rowing gears is fun plus admit you’re trying to hit VTEC after every shift. 😁
Oh yeah, you got me there . Unfortunately, the 10th gen didn't have VTEC, as Honda switched to the 1.5L single scroll turbo. You got lots of low end grunt, but by the time you hit 2400 RPM you were out of juice. A tune from One Step Performance and a bigger Intercooler helped, but this car just didn't cut for me, which is why I sold it a year later and bought an IS350. That puppy came alive around 4500 RPM, but unfortunately was limited to 6500 RPM. A tune from RR Racing brought the limiter up to 7200 RPM where I hit VVT-i...Baby
You just hit the nail on the head perfectly. The driving experience from electric motors can't be matched. If you reversed it and offered me a $7500 tax credit to go back to a gasoline car regardless of income, I would never go back if given the choice

we're not supposed to be doing ice vs ev here or ice nostalgia or whatever.
It does for alot of people though. See it everyday at my bmw store.
They're not buying an EV for the tax credit though. It may put them over the edge, but if they didn't have a desire to try an EV in the first place it would not make them do it.

I disagree. When people come in and ask “what do you have that qualifies for $7500 tax credit” seems like they would buy a gas car if it qualified lol. Just had a guy switch from a new X5 50e to a preowned plugin XC90 then to a preowned E-Tron all based off him wanting to buy something with a tax credit.

I don't where you live, but here in Silicon valley most Tesla buyers (including myself) don't qualify for the tax credit. Yet now there are more new Tesla's than any other brands, gas, phev or bev

Live in PA work in NJ. No sales tax on EVs in NJ. That really helps as well.
Who wouldnt, you also get the luxury if you buy an ev and decide to trade on a gas car you still get trade in tax credit even though you never paid tax on it in the first place.

Yeah, I don't buy it. People are not making the huge switch to an EV and installing chargers etc simply to get a $7,500 tax credit.
"A factor" does not mean "the main factor" or "the only factor".
agree but having conversations with him during the process, along with the price drop, it put him over the edge to buy it. He had been considering a hybrid vehicle

Thats exactly what I said, but he still had a desire to try an EV. BTW, plug in hybrids get the tax credit too. He still chose an EV.
