2023 Ioniq 5 SEL AWD
Thanks! My wife got the new car, this is her car, as you probably read, it replaced the 2020 Ioniq EV that was end of it's lease. She absolutely loves this car. She's not a car person at all, doesn't care about cars, but this car she loves. She's been showing it to her friends, and now their husbands have been calling me asking them to connect them with the sales guy I leased this through.
Here's the bottom line about the Ioniq 5...it's a fantastic lease opportunity, but I absolutely wouldn't buy it at it's price point, which is $53K. that's why Hyundai is offering all these lease incentives, people would rather buy a Model Y at this price. I know I would

They look nice Amirza but I just can't do all weather floor mats in my car cuz too work vehicle looking to me.
I only use carpet floor mats.
And I ALWAYS take my shoes off before getting in the car so I can keep my carpet clean.

. Here's the thing...my wife is one of the neatest people you will ever meet, she doesn't allow people to wear shoes in the house. No lie. But not when it comes to cars. She just dumps napkins, receipts and other stuff all over the car. She uses her car like a storage bin. She also brings tea in her car in mugs, not in a thermos. But it's not just regular tea, it's tea with milk and sugar, and it ends up all over the mats. Once it gets on the floor mats, it's impossible to clean. With all weather mats, you just pull them out, rinse them off and let them dry, and they are as good as new
The dealership I leased through may have screwed me over. I got a early lease termination letter from Hyundai financial saying that they are going to send me a final bill based on what they sell the car for at auction, which includes the last 4 months and any mileage overage. When I called them, the rep said that the dealership didn't buy the car, but sent it back. When I told him that I only got out of the lease early because the dealership told me I could if I get into another Hyundai lease, and there was an offer from Hyundai that covers overages and other fees ($900), and the rep told me that is true, only if I finance again with Hyundai financial! The dealership financed the lease through US Bank! He told me to call the dealership, and guess what the dealership told me? Call Hyundai financial LoL 🤣
Now I'm going to be spending my time fighting a bill that could be $1000 or more. This is the absolute last time I'm ever going to deal with a dealership

well that's lousy, but i'd wait until you get the 'final bill' from HFS. it may not be much. when i turned in my genesis, i had a "pre turn in inspection and estimate" and i think they said the car needed 4 new tires or something, but i ended up getting no bill at all. also, it's certainly on the dealer here, not HFS. HFS obviously wants people to roll from one lease to the next and provides incentives to do so. if the dealer doesn't use HFS for the new lease though, HFS has no incentive to grease the skids for you and will expect the remaining payments.
i hope it all works out but i'll keep it in mind if i end up going for another hyundai soon!

On another note, I referred a friend to the dealership who got a similar lease as I did, and no thanks or nothing from the them. Tesla on the other hand, gives you $1000 in credits you can use for purchasing items in their online store, supercharging, or even apply it to another car
