Model Y is insanely popular but people really don't want Tesla sedans.

that's because you're a) affluent, and b) likely don't qualify for any incentives.

just another misleading headline. that "25.1%" includes plug in hybrids.

from the stats above 1/3 of tesla 3/Y sales were 3 so i'd hardly say people don't want sedans.

but yes, since there's little 'penalty' with going for the y over the 3, unless you just like its looks or maybe handling better, unless it's a fair bit cheaper than y, there's no point in getting one.

You keep saying that. If I lived in a State like Texas, Arizona, NM etc and had my same income I would probably be considered affluent. Here I'm just middle class, if that even exists anymore.

As far as Government incentives, EV's are not the only vehicles that get some type of tax benefit, as gasoline is subsidized in America (by not heavily taxing it like they do in Europe), which is why people love big trucks here. Take away cheap gas, and let's see what they start buying. Let gas start creeping up to European prices, and the Model 3/Y will suddenly triple in popularity.

IMHO, Tesla doesn't need the tax credits to sell hundreds of thousands per quarter (the price cuts helped much more), but they definitely help push people who now see them as more affordable

Amazing how many choose to overlook the fact that Teslas had no federal tax incentives for buyers from 2020 through the end of 2022, yet still kept on selling and sales kept on increasing. In the largest markets, many buyers were likely income-thresholded out of state incentives too.

Equally amazing how some here have developed a genuinely unhealthy obsession with a type of vehicle they don't own...

30 percent YoY sales growth with almost three years of no tax incentives

Very nice color! Badly needs different wheels though.

Those are just the wheel covers for aero. The rims look like this when you take them off

Or this if they have the 19" Gemini Wheels:

Midnight Cherry Red is a pretty nice color. The 3,200 euro price is insane for a paint job.

Though I still think Mazda's red is nicer looking. (in photos anyways)
