Default 2011 ES 350 Nav System...

I find it difficult to input addresses into Nav System because the touch screen sucks! Saw
a how to video on the 2013 model and it has a mouse that looks effortless. Looks like we got shortchanged!
Feedback please!

If you have an e destination subscription, you can send addresses/destinations to the car from your computer. Much easier than from in car. It does require the subscription tho.

How much is annual subscription? Can I use Ipad to do this?

Am I the only one who thinks the touch screen sucks?

Not sure how much it costs, but the prices etc. are on the Lexus web site.

Also, if you have Destination Assist, you just press the button in-car, talk to a live person, tell them where you want to go, or what you are looking for, and they send the address/destination to the car, and off you go. We used both features a lot when we had our 2010.

Is Destination Assist different or the same as e-destination? Do you agree that the touch screen sucks?

Can it be sent from an Ipad?

I believe DA and e-dest are both included under one subscription. They are two separate features though. One is on-line entry of destinations and POI's, and the other is like a concierge type of service.

I didn't mind the touch screen but debates rage on as to whether they suck or not. Some love 'em and others prefer mouse-like controllers and/or rotary *****.
