Default No maf adapter needed

It is just a drop in air filter. It is not a intake or anything. I bought the filter for $65 and have had it for only 6 months. I guess i'll sell it for $40, but you will have to pay for the shipping as well. Do not know how much yet. I am not sure if this is what you are looking for, but let me know anyway.

Default No you dont need it

You do not need a maf adapter to put it in. All you have to do is open up your air box and take out the paper one. Then you just drop this into the air box. The adapter is already built into the air box that came from the factory. I did not have to do anything when I bought it. I just bought an intake and had to put a maf adapter on that, but not this. It is not a cone filter, it Is just a flat air filter.

Hey, you can buy it. I am looking for a cone filter in mine, not just a drop in. But thanks anyways.

Default peformance

There is not a lot of performance maybe 2-3 horse, but the fact that you do not have to change the filter a lot is nice. It does help out all around to keep everything in line engine, air flow and etc. Let me know if you want to grab it.

Default more questions

is this one of those million mile warranty ones? is it "washable"? and please explain, if it is just a drop in filter, why or how it creates a slight horsepower gain. i know im getting picky. i just wanna know what i buy before i buy!

a short ram will typically give you zip zero power. I have been in the scene toooo long to say anything else.

For the es300 however the stock airbox is extrememely restrictive. I know because I took the whole thing out. Not just the cap not just the bottom half. THE WHOLE PIPING and that thing was designed for one reason to be quiet.

So on the really really optimistic side changing a filter to short ram config should net you maybe 2-3 hp MAX that is absolutely max. Reason being is that even though you are netting the advantage of more air you are sucking hotter air. Even the stock airbox does a better job of sucking cold air than a short ram filter. Everyone know hot air makes less power, its less dense than cold air.

The only way to make any type of significant power is to go colod air....long pipe...and im not talking about sticking some dryer hose up ur bumper. Ive seen it on this board and actually found it quite hillarious.

here is an old skool picture of my intake....

Since this the kit is on and by the 3rd of the next month should be my secret new color.

Also the blue lines have been ditched and im begining to convert everything to Stainless steel SS piping. But the tubes are expensive as hell and the machined fittings are even more...

anyway theres a cold air intake that sucks cold air and makes actually power. Only disadvantage....if you like a stock sounding lexus cold airs scream. At idle they are quite quitet and even at normal driving but if you floor it, it sounds like a combination growl then loud ripping sound at top rpm

Default Im not selling my intake!!!!!

The air filter is what I am selling and yeah all it gives you is a couple horse. Yes it is washable, and yes it is a million mile filter. I will clean it before you buy it if you want it, but you really do not need to clean it. It sayd to clean it about only every 60,000 miles. Let me know.
