Does anybody know where I can find install instructions for installing lighted door sills on a 2024 Lexus ES300h? Mine came without the lighted door sills. I bought lighted door sills from my Lexus dealer, but they came without instructions. I cannot find any installation videos specifically for the 24 es300h or the 24 ES350.

I wish they had a protector for the plastic piece on the very outside, under the door. Every time I bump it with my feet it makes a hollow cheap sound that kills me.

General question - I assume these accessories become less common as the old generation is replaced with a new one. How fast does that happen?

I'm on the fence about buying the illuminated trunk sill for the ES because I'm turned off by the illuminated name plate, but I like the added interior lights. No doubt that will eventually be hard to get and more expensive - but is that going to be a 6 month problem, or a 6 year problem? They do make a lot of ESs, but not as many as they used to. Are they already harder to find?

 

The illuminated trunk sill for 2019+ ES350 basically dropped off the face of the earth recently. Exact reason why seems to be unknown. Its possible you can find the version for the hybrid, but that will have ES 300h lighting up on your car...

I like the idea of the extra lights it throws into the trunk, I dont really need the illuminated Lexus and ES350 writing. Would be interesting to see if you can mod the existing part to add LEDs and wire them in the same way the actual illuminated trunk sill connects.

 

komobu in his 2019 ES 350 Illuminated Trunk Sill Install post #31 reported that Bell Lexus found one for his 2025 ES 350 Ultra Luxury. In his followup post #34 in the same thread, he posted the part number of the illuminated trunk sill he received.

For those desiring an illuminated trunk sill and comfortable with DIY installing it, Bell Lexus is worth considering as your purchasing parts department. If you contact them with your Lexus's VIN, they'll use it to verify/find the part that fits that VIN.
