First tank mileage
Just finished my first tank of gas in my 2023 ES300h. Drove very conservatively, breaking it in gently. Very pleased with 45 mpg. I expected it to be less where the car is brand new, so getting that was a nice surprise.
In my new 23 ESh I was getting 49 mpg driving conservatively in normal mode for a good ~1000 miles. Now 2000 miles later I'm getting 42 mpg. I know I'm driving it harder than before, although still conservatively, I rarely go beyond the eco zone into the power zone on the acceleration meter, and even if I do it's only just, so I'm not winning any drag races.

Are you in a cool climate? I’m in Texas and was getting 41-44 mpg on a tank until summer came with temperatures over 100F and now I’m lucky to get 35 mpg.

Yeah currently it's ~32f in the morning when I'm driving to work, and around 52f driving home, and I'm sitting at 41-42 mpg, but when I got the car it was more like 41f in the morning and 61f driving home, 48-49mpg. Although another important thing that slipped my mind is that since the colder mornings I have been using the remote start to warm up the car for 5-10min, and the tire pressures have dropped a touch when cold. So I guess along with the slightly more spirited driving, those three factors could explain the drop in efficiency.

Toyota and Lexus are accurate with their EPA estimates. I have a bit of a heavier foot, but for the almost 18k miles I've had my 22 300h F Sport, I've gotten 43mpg combined. Very happy with the mpg and my last fill up I got 45.3mpg. (Tracked with Fuelly app vs the onboard computer which I find to be pretty generous with mpg)
