Also the DRL looks better on 2019.

Thanks for the video! Audi has top notch lighting in both effect and performance but they always have been at the forefront in the lighting (and interior design) game.

I didn't even realize at first how different the triple beam lights were before the MMC, wow. I feel the 2019 triple beam is a bit more classy. The design is clean and elegant.

I'm in line for a 2022, and I think the triple beams look awesome. Between the two I prefer the more minimal look. It's not as elegant as the 2019, but I think it still looks very good. I'm a fan of both, but as I'm in line for an F sport trim, I think the 2022 lights looks more aggressive in that sense and fits the overall vehicle design better. I also like the fact the orange marker/reflector is significantly smaller than 2019.

Can't go wrong with either. I just prefer the update on the 2022 and it looks a bit more "techy" than classy.

The 2019 Triple beam headlight LED’s look bigger. The 2022 LED’s look smaller. I bet you that the technology on the 2022 LED’s are more advanced than the technology in the 2019’s. The 2022 LED’s look just as nice. They have that diamond like look to them and they do look aggressive and mean looking on the ES350.

I have the 2020 Base headlamps and drive during dark to and from from work 1 hour each way. They are plenty good. Better than the triple beams on my 16 RX.

Thats interesting because they do not compare to the triple beam on the 22 ES.

I disagree. They may be more advanced but to my naked eye the new design of the triple beam headlights looks cheaper. I actually also think that the interior looks a a little bit cheaper with all the piano black plastic on the door panel and center stack and removal of the aluminum looking strip under the infotainment screen. This combined with the infotainment screen that looks out of place when they brought it forward a few inches now looks like it's competing for real estate space with the drive mode selector stalk. I walked away thinking mid cycle refresh was supposed to improve upon the design but not in this case. Just my opinion. YMMV.

Good catch on the aluminum strip, thats a shame as it was quite nice. What was on the door panel before? Looked like the window controls panel was black before so curious what changed.

On the door panel was a machined plastic. No finger marks and looks great.

Where is the front, yellow turn signal on the newer model? On my '19, the DRL remains white and the strip of LEDs light yellow in addition.

Most cars have the DRL change yellow to turn and then turn back, something I always thought was awkward looking.

There is a yellow straight strip that goes in the middle of the DRL and the beams. Looks more aggressive than before.

I looked at and compared the 2021 and the 2022 Triple Beam LED Headlamps and you’re right. The 2022 ones look a lot more aggressive looking than the older 2019-2021 version. The older version had trapezoid shaped frames around the rounded LED’s which looked disproportionate. The newer ones are rectangular shaped and the LED’s don’t look roundish and out of place like the roundish LED’s in the trapezoid frames in the 2019-2021. All the rectangular LED’s right now on the 2022 ES350 look very proportionate to the rectangular frame that they sit in. They are a perfect match.

Ah I see now, on the 2022 the machined plastic is only at the top and its gloss black everywhere else, while on earlier models its all machinized. That IS much nicer, thats a strange change to make!
