Don't like that the F emblem is no longer on the rear deck.

I see that the 2022 ES with the tripple beams can put a shade at oncoming traffic.

Does the 2019-2021 ES with tripple-beam headlights have this option?

That's a really interesting question. I thought it would be a simple Google search, but unfortunately every search term I attempt I'm unable to produce any quality results. But I'm unable to find anything saying that's a new feature for the 2022 refresh.

The only thing I can really use to make a conclusion is based on this:

https://www.lexus.eu/discover-lexus/.../#other-models

It states that the only 2 Lexus cars that have that feature are the ES and LS. Yet, this article states the RX got it back in 2019:

https://lexusenthusiast.com/2019/06/...north-america/

So unless someone else can dispute me, I'd say they might.

EDIT:

Assuming this is pertaining to the US version (which I'm assuming you're located in) and is an accurate archive, that page stated the Lexus ES had that feature back in September 18th, 2020. Considering the refresh wasn't even announced until this year, I would assume they do in fact have it. At least for the 2020 model year.

It is a very good feature to have but there is little to no info about it.
I know that the 2012+ LS has this feature, not sure about the 2019+ ES, but I found a couple of videos that show that this model has it too.

I did some research and I found out that there are two types of tripple beam headlights: the automatic high beam and the adaptive high beam. The automatic HB has only one option: to automatically turn on and off the high beam, but the Adaptive HB can put a shade on the oncoming traffic.

Here is the video that demontrates the adaptive high beam on the 2022 model with tripple beam (watch from 5:00):

And here is the video that demonstrates exactly that on the 2019 ES (watch from 3:20):

Here we can see that the Bladescan adaptive headlights debuted on 2020 RX:

Commercial from 2019 about the ES:
The ES 350 also has a panoramic view monitor, premium triple-beam LED headlights with adaptive front lighting system, LED taillights, vehicle stability control, traction control, smart stop technology, rain-sensing wipers, and a 10-air bag system.
From those 2 picture I can see that there are two types od tripple beam for the 2022 model:

I hope that somebody who has the 2019+ ES with tripple beam headlights can confirm this. Thanks.

And after more research - no, there’s no Adaptive function for the US market, and these rules apply for all the manufacturers.

US stupid rules doesn’t allow adaptive lights in the US.
For European and other markets the ES with tripple beam has a device between the third and the cornering lights:

The cool digital side-view monitor won't be coming to U.S as well. Politics is too dam toxic nowadays. As soon as one party proposes something whether it is good, bad or indifferent the other side automatically opposes it if they score some political points with their base. compromise is a career killer in a certain party.

I agree with you.
To be honest I don’t like digital mirrors because of the way they integrated the inside monitors.

Exactly right. Audi has this feature in Europe (I thnk they had it first), and they can't bring it to America either.

In response to ionian's post, while many of today's evils are the result of politics, I'm not sure this one is. The US has a history of being years behind in headlight technologies, going back decades. I can remember way back in the Seventies, lots of new cars still had pathetic sealed-beam headlights that were about as good as having a guy walk in front of you swinging a lantern. Europe had already moved far beyond those.

The 2019 2020 & 2021 does that if you have triple beams as one of the options packs

I own a ES 300H from summer 2019 in Spain, and yes, it have this feature. Anyway, sometimes dazzles oncoming vehicles on highways. The LED headlights are very very powerful. May be lexus are working in some improvement.

Anyone know if they remapped the 8-speed transmission for 2022 so that the downshifts aren't so abrupt?
