Default How to Remove wireless charging?

Has anyone try to remove their wireless charging? Pretty useless and take up some space to be honest. Please post video or guide if you seen it before, thanks!

A great option to exclude when you purchase.

Yep, mine is never used and the option itself sorta blows.

It can charge pro max iphone. But pretty slow and can get hot. And had to take off case to charge. Too much hassle

I feel like wireless charger should also come with wireless carplay IMO.
Wireless charger + wired carplay is like having push-to-start, but no keyless entry.

That's the direction Lexus is going on new vehicles. Go check out the videos of the upcoming 2022 Lexus NX. The charging tray pushes into the dash and delivers wireless CarPlay and AA.

Or at least have a usb in there that links to CarPlay so phone and cable are hidden. Not sure how I’m going to do mine yet. Just picked up the car today. Not very phone-friendly.

I removed mine today. It left a hole in the console so I covered it up with two big pieces of adhesive backed felt tape.

You need to remove the console and disassemble it to remove the wireless charger and cigarette lighter port. You’ll see why I mentioned cigarette lighter port once you get in there. I used some felt tape to hold the loose wires to the bottom of the center console.

I looked again the picture, it seems like that you removed the Center storage/armrest first, then accessed the underside of the charger pad. Is it right?

So what goes there if you order without the charger? Seems there is still a big hunk of something in the front of the console. What is that?
