Carplay compatible with HUD

Is it possible to have the navigation directions from Carplay (Google Map) to be projected onto the HUD? I want to have the right/left turns on the HUD like when you use the default navagation

I cannot say for certain but I would be surprised if non-native nav were displayed. Other cars I’ve driven only permit the native nav to be displayed in the HUD.

Waze does not project turns on the HUD - at least it doesn't on an LS500 with CarPlay

Apple only implemented CarPlay 2nd and 3rd video stream on iOS 13 (announced last week at WWDC 2019, currently in beta testing). This opens the door for manufacturers put CarPlay on the center console, the instrument cluster and the HUD at the same time.

Here is the video detailing how the CarPlay 2nd and 3rd video stream can be implemented. It looks like Lexus needs to do some hard work if they want to fit it to their existing systems. Probably not gonna see it soon.
