Smallest rim size possible?

Anyone put a rim smaller than 17 on the es? Would losing the acoustic wheels make any difference? Dropping a rim size and gaining side wall should have the same effect right?

I think the ride suffers a bit on these because of the low profile tires.

The wheel wells will look empty and the overall look probably awful but that's just my opinion. Even the 17s seem to missing something when you compare to the 18s and 19s on the FSport.
