Default Driving the UL in S mode

I have found that using the S mode in about S6 or S5 around town is much more enjoyable that using D. Less transmission hunting for the a higher or lower gear. I don't care about gas mileage at all so that is not a factor. I really wish that Lexus would have made it so the actual gear you are in is shown all the time. As it is now it only shows the highest gear that the car can use.

Maybe different in the FSport but I see the actual current gear in use. Curious - what is the difference between using S Mode and just using the paddles in D?

Sure I'll do it carefully while driving I guess. But for sure, I've watched it change gears up and down.

I wish the UL had that feature. Using the paddle in D it only stays in the new S gear for about 30 seconds, then it switches back to regular D.

So in S mode, its all controlled by the paddles like a manual trans? Ive yet to try that.

That is a cool graphic. I've never seen that gear information before. I think it must only be a F-Sport thing.

I was in a Mercedes SUV, and saw the current gear information. I was wondering why the ES didn't have something like that.
