Default Should have waited

Found this article regarding Lexus building an LC convertible. I probably should have waited...

It looks even better as a convertible! But it's 2-2.5x the cost of the ES...

Apples and oranges. I love the look of the LC hardtop but it's in a different league from the ES.

Yes indeed - the hideous RZ.

I was watching a commercial of the RZ on Youtube from official Lexus channel and liked it very much, they make it looks so big and sophisticated on that video.
Then when RZ available for test drive on other car review channels, it looks horrible out and in, plus the sub 180 miles range on the highest trim, for just a small price of around $70K LOL I'd rather buy a Prius and Camry and probably still have money left

The RZ is really just a test bed for Toyota. Not an intentional EV. They grabbed the RAV4 body and stuffed a bunch of dorky old fashioned MASSIVE electronics in with ICE architecture and ICE control modules etc. You open the engine bay thinking ahh... I have an EV... lets see this lovely giant frunk... and what should be a frunk is full of massive birds nest and olf fashioned boxes of junk. Making the space unusable. Basically what all legacy manufacturers are doing to get their feet wet instead of a clean slate/clean sheet design which costs absurds amount of money. This is why you'll notice most ICE turned-EVs have no frunk, no legroom, small back doors, small interior space etc. See BMW i4 M50i with tiny tiny rear clown doors and tiny tiny back seat. Vs. ICE-EVs-- fully optimized clean sheet EVs have lots of interior room, optimized crash structure, high range, small exterior footprint, large cargo area etc.

The next round of real EVs from Toyota should be a good start and compete well with the likes of the Ioniq which is a good example of a clean slate/clean sheet EV from Asia.
